The scene of the ship being swept away by the winds and strong waves, which appears a long distance away from the height of the mountain, has become the focus of everyone’s attention and has become a tourist attraction. According to what was previously reported, the news confirmed that the ship ran aground due to Cyclone Mekunu, which struck the coast of Oman in 2018.

Originally, the cargo ship was anchored at the wharf, but due to the cyclone it drifted all the way to Salalah, where it got stuck on rocks.

Today, this stranded ship lies in its final resting place in the Aftalqut area in Dhofar Governorate.
