The museum includes an important collection of exhibits that tell about the luminous military aspects of the glorious Omani history for different stages from pre-Islam to contemporary history, and among these exhibits are traditional weapons, modern weapons, and some documents and manuscripts.

Oman before Islam
This hall contains information and pictures about Oman before Islam. Among the information available in this hall is the location of the Sultanate of Oman, as the Sultanate of Oman is located at the far southeastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, and the area of the Sultanate is about 309,500 square kilometers.

Oman and Islam Hall
The first of the people of Oman to convert to Islam was Mazen bin Ghadouba from the state of Samail. After his return from Medina and meeting the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he built the first mosque in Oman, which was Al-Midhaar Mosque, in the sixth year of the Hijra. He made many modifications to the mosque over time. It was rebuilt with modern building materials on July 11, 1979 at the expense of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said the Great.

Al Ya'ariba Hall
The era of the Ya'aribah in Oman is linked to the assumption of power by Imam Nasser bin Murshid al-Ya'rubi in 1624 AD. He was the most powerful of the Ya'aribah imams. He was a firm and courageous imam. He united the country, reunited the tribes around him, and fought the Portuguese in a long and relentless war. He died in 1649 AD.

Portuguese Hall in Oman
The Europeans were influenced by the navigation methods of the Arabs, and relied on the Arabs’ scientific knowledge and close experience in this field, so they benefited from it in reaching India via the Cape of Good Hope. Among the most famous Arab sailors was Abu Ubaidah Abdullah bin Al-Qasim Al-Omani, who arrived in Canton in China in the eighth century AD. And Asad Al-Bahar, Ahmed bin Majid, author of the book Al-Fawaid.

The Busaadi gentlemen
The founder of the Busaidite state was Imam Ahmed bin Saeed, who ruled Oman from 1744 - 1775 AD. He was a brave man who united the country and expelled the Persians from Oman.

The emergence of the armed forces
Mr. Taimur bin Faisal assumed power in the country after the death of his father in 1913 AD, and mediation took place between him and the opponents in the so-called Treaty of Seeb in 1920 AD, which failed. Mr. Timur abdicated power to his son Saeed in 1932 AD.

The era of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said the Great
His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said the Great was born on November 18, 1940 AD in the city of Salalah. He received his early education from distinguished professors chosen for him by his father, Mr. Said bin Taimur. He studied primary grades at the Saidiya School in Salalah, then his father sent him to complete his education to the United Kingdom. Where he received his education in a private school in Suffolk.

Development of the Sultan's Armed Forces
In December 1975 AD, suitable conditions were available for development, and after conditions stabilized and security and tranquility prevailed throughout the country, the plan to modernize the armed forces began along two parallel lines: the first was to prepare qualified manpower, and the second was to provide modern weapons that suited the current stage. This development resulted in the establishment of military schools. Specialized to qualify leadership and technical competencies appropriate to the nature of the responsibilities of each weapon.

Royal Army of Oman
The Royal Army of Oman is one of the oldest of the three arms in the Sultan’s Armed Forces. It was established in 1907 AD and was represented by a small infantry force called the Muscat Garrison at that time. It then continued to develop gradually in terms of organization and armament until December 1975 AD, when the armed forces were reorganized, and since then Today it is known as the Sultan of Oman's Ground Forces.

Royal Air Force of Oman
The Royal Air Force of Oman was formed on March 1, 1959. The Royal Air Force of Oman wing includes many holdings of weapons, equipment and military devices that the weapon has used since its establishment.

The Royal Navy of Oman was formed in 1971 AD. The Royal Navy of Oman pavilion includes many holdings of weapons, equipment and military devices that have been used by the Royal Navy of Oman since its establishment.

Outdoor courtyard exhibits
The outdoor courtyard of the Sultan's Armed Forces Museum contains various exhibits, Such as :- Falaj: It is fresh, flowing water that comes from the mountains and flows in a water channel that the Omanis call the falaj. The Beit Al Falaj Castle was built next to this falaj and was named after it.
