The history of the fortress of the Wilayat of Samail in the Sultanate of Oman goes back more than 300 years, and due to its historical importance, the Ministry of Heritage and Culture sought to restore and rehabilitate it in proportion to its historical status. The maintenance work was completed at the end of December 2008, and it became suitable for receiving its visitors from tourists. The total area of the fort is more than 10 thousand square meters.
